Privacy policy
Carbonless operates this service and is responsible for the information described here. This policy covers the Carbonless Trades product.
Information we store and use
We store the information needed to provide your account and Trades workspace:
- Your account email for sign-in and account access.
- Your business profile, including the business details and branding you provide for documents.
- Saved client details and the estimates, invoices, line items, terms, and payment records you create.
- Rendered PDF copies of your documents.
We use this information to provide account access, create and display your documents, maintain your client book, and provide PDF downloads.
PDF storage and access
Rendered PDFs are stored in private Supabase Storage. Downloads use short-lived signed URLs rather than permanent public links. A signed URL can be used by anyone who has it until it expires, so share it only with intended recipients.
You can request a fresh PDF link from your dashboard when a link expires.
Payments
Paid plans use Polar Checkout, outside Carbonless and ChatGPT. Card data is handled by Polar and never reaches Carbonless.
Retention and deletion
We retain your account information, business profile, clients, documents, and rendered PDFs until you request deletion or close your account.
You can request deletion of your account or stored documents at any time by emailing tech@carbonless.app. Individual document deletion is not available in the app in v1.
When an account is marked closed, its dashboard and OAuth access are blocked immediately. This access revocation does not itself erase stored database records or PDFs. Removing those records and files is a separate step handled through your deletion request. Previously issued PDF links may remain usable until they expire.
